Dozen Photo Challenge

This picture of my moms pot of sauce and meatballs is my favorite one from the dozen photo challenge. The reason I chose this photo is because not only do the meatballs look absolutely DELICIOUS, but they hold a very special place in my heart. Coming from a big Italian family, cooking and eating Sunday dinner is something I cherish very much. I shot this photo on an angle in order to capture both the sauce and the meatballs. The most challenging part of this project was taking pictures in a way that they would be truly appealing to the eye. I was always thinking about all the aspects of photography such as texture, form, color, size, shape, etc. In order to create stronger images in the future, I will work on making sure the light is not too dark and not to dim, angle the camera in the correct way, and focusing directly on the subject!
